Thinking about getting baptized? Even if you’re just interested in exploring what it’s really about, sign up for our Baptism Class, happening Sunday, February 26th from 6-8pm. This is a great chance to get a better understanding on what the bible has to say about baptism, and is also a prerequisite for being baptized here at Crossridge.
LOCATION: TBA
If you have any questions, you can contact Lee Francois directly or leave a comment below.
Does this include those who want to have their membership transfered to Crossridge? or will there be classes or something for that later on?
I’m not sure if Erin’s question got answered yet or not but I’m also interested in knowing what the plan is for membership… if there is a plan yet. Thanks.
Hey you two…
We’re still working out the details surrounding membership. There will be a 24 week class that you can’t miss a day of if you want to be a member. And it’s 24 weeks over 6 years. And you can’t join until you’ve completed the classes, and a miracle has to be attributed to you. So…good luck with that. It’s pretty tough to be a member at Crossridge.
But, seriously, we are still working it out. At this point, it will be a separate class…and we’re hoping it’s coming very soon. We’ll be announcing it either in service or on the City (likely both) in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back 2 or 3 times a day for the next 6 weeks.
Andy, sign me up for the membership classes if any spots are still open. I’ve booked off six months of work to get this done.

Being retired we can handle the 24 weeks as well. However our travel schedule means we require on-line distance education. Will that be offered concurently?
Mike
I’m not eligible for retirement until 2040 but, like Michael, I would appreciate an online option to fit 24 classes into my busy schedule. Will there be a hashtag for membership classes so that I can participate via The Twitter?
well, thanks for finely getting to my question … seems like forever ago that I asked it. But if membership is that severe 24 mandatory weeks over 6 years including a miracle, then I’m afraid that I cannot join CrossRidge, it just involves too much work and to be perfectly honest I’m not that patient to wait through it all. Sorry, hope you can find people that are actually interested in this course. Unless of course it’s online like Michael suggested, then I might be able to get into it.
We were talking about it and I think we might be able to pull something off in a bit more condensed format – maybe one or two classes. Lee also finally convinced me that the miracle was just too high a standard to set. I still don’t see it his way…but I’ll let it slide for now :)
i personally don’t think 24 classes over 6 years is enough. i’ll only join a church if everyone has to take 48 classes over 12 years. you just don’t know if people are serious if you don’t raise the bar. and andy, i’m with you on the miracle thing, but again, the standard should be at least 2. as well, the church body should all witness the miracles first-hand. andy and lee, i trust you will consider this.
